El Salvador International Airport (IATA: AIES) has completed a $11.4 million expansion of its check-in facilities, now capable of processing 1,464 passengers per hour — a 48% increase in efficiency. The upgrade includes 122 checkpoints and advanced technology to meet surging tourism demand.
Key Improvements

- Cutting-Edge Tech: New high-speed X-ray machines and upgraded data centers ensure smoother security screenings and operational reliability.
- 24/7 Staffing: Over 1,200 CEPA employees will assist travelers across roles like check-in, security, medical services, and maintenance.
